MacIlleriach Helps Kent Cruise to 11-3 Win
|
The timely hitting of Rick MacIlleriach helped the Kent Comets down the Cut Off Crawdads, 11-3. MacIlleriach went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Comets. Salvador Sosa got the win, improving to 4-5. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 4. The Comets go to 27-36, putting them 10th in the Menard's A.
MacIlleriach made an early impact for Kent when he stroked his 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Comets on top, 4-0.
"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," MacIlleriach told the Kent Gazette.
