Whales Win 4-3 Walk-Off

There was no shortage of dramatics at Virginia Beach Grounds.
The Virginia Beach Whales picked up a win at Virginia Beach Grounds, knocking off the Northville Eclipse, 4-3. Starting pitcher George Butler played a key role in the triumph. Virginia Beach reliever Bill Gould picked up the win, upping his record to 7-2. Shawn Gibson took the loss.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Virginia Beach trailing 3-2, Ronald Dacanay hit a fastball from John Ralston to right for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Whales had a walk-off win.
Dacanay called the win "a collective effort."
The win elevated the Whales to 62-36.
