Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Rails
The Richland Rails took Ft. Polk South pitcher Mark Brunswick's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Rails Ballpark. The final score had Richland getting past the Thunder Hawks, 8-5. Brunswick went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 3. The 6th-place Rails have won 4 straight.

Richland took a 8-5 lead on Júlio Martínez's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Ft. Polk South pitcher Ricardo Rodríguez in the bottom of the eighth.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Richland manager Dave Orchard.
