Ft. Polk South starter Wynn Kelley had a strong outing against the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Ken Travis got credit for the save for Ft. Polk South. It was his 5th of the year. Ft. Polk South raised its record to 49-46 with the win.

Making an impact for the home team was Danny McElroy. In the bottom of the third, the 24-year old third baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 3-0, Thunder Hawks.

"We put together a nice win," McElroy said.
