River Rats Trip Arryns, 8-7, in Extra Innings
|
The Columbia River Rats did just enough to secure a victory over the Lake Erie Arryns, 8-7, at Columbia Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Chong-yee Galván. Christiansen Chemnitz, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits. Columbia is 24-28 and Lake Erie, with the loss, 23-29.
The River Rats procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Charlie Moore. In the bottom of the 20th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Moore.
