Expos Drop Comets, 4-0
|
The Kent Comets got a superb performance from pitcher Thomas Zachary. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Niagara Falls. The Expos won the game, 4-0. Zachary threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Ramón Pacheco, credited with the win, is now 4-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits. Niagara Falls has now won 4 straight, while the Comets have lost 3 in a row.
In the top of the first, Bernardo Beltrán ambushed a 0-1 fastball from Thomas Zachary and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Niagara Falls a quick 2-0 lead.
"We did a lot of things right," said Beltrán.
