Yellows Deal Crawdads 3-2 Loss
|
The Yucca Valley Yellows picked up a win at Crawdads Field, knocking off the Cut Off Crawdads, 3-2. Starting pitcher Mitch Ivey played a key role in the triumph. Ivey, now 2-5, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The Crawdads, now 28-17, have lost 4 in a row.
In the top of the third, Jason Wilson hit a run-scoring double. The 4th double of the season for the Yucca Valley catcher put the Yellows on top, 1-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Wilson said.
