Arryns Need Extra Frames to Get Past Comets
The Kent Comets got a superb performance from pitcher Micheal Ford, but the Lake Erie Arryns still won the game, 5-4. Ford threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Bob Larsen picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Benjamin Crump was tagged with the loss. Chris Johnson finished the game for Lake Erie and earned his 1st save.

This game was not decided until late. With no one out in the top of the tenth, Alex Haynes hit a sacrifice fly. The Arryns took the lead, 5-4.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Miguel Saldaña, the Lake Erie skipper.

The slumping Comets have dropped 8 in a row.
