Kingston Gets 1-0 Win
|
The Kingston Mangos got a strong performance from pitcher Bennett Whitley, who stymied the Niagara Falls offense en route to a win, 1-0, at Waterfall Park. The winning pitcher was Whitley, now 2-4. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 7. The Mangos, at 17-19, sit in 9th place in the Menard's A.
Francisco Carbón didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to put Kingston on top, 1-0.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Carbón.
