Luis Garza was a major factor in the 3-2 Alameda win over Kent. The Airmen catcher went 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Their 17-18 record puts the Airmen 7th in the Menard's A.
Garza contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Alameda in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Garza took a cutter from Sun Tah and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Airmen to leap in front, 3-1.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Garza told the Alameda Observer.
