Eclipse Fall Short, 5-4, at Squirrel Hill
|
The Squirrel Hill Pierogis topped the Northville Eclipse by the score of 5-4, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder William Murphy. Murphy went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Pierogis. Donovan Poe picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Aaron Daniels was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was Luis Boll, his 2nd.
Tao Kaukini put Squirrel Hill in front, 5-2, when he took Aaron Daniels downtown. His solo home run came with no one out in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 2nd home run of the season.
"I felt good up there," said Kaukini. "I saw the ball well."
The Pierogis saw their record improve to 34-47.
