|
Northville Eclipse starter Martín Galindo hurled his team past the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis, 5-2. Galindo, now 9-3, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Shawn Gibson earned the save, his 3rd, for the Eclipse.
Kuan Pi went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Northville. The 27-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Markus Magee. It was his 22nd RBI of the season.
Galindo told a Northville Bulletin reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
Northville now owns a record of 33-44.
