McElroy Slugs 2 Home Runs, Thunder Hawks Beat Eclipse, 12-3
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks met little resistance from the Northville Eclipse, beating them 12-3 at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. Danny McElroy led the way. He was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for Ft. Polk South. Joe Gregg earned the save for Ft. Polk South, his 3rd. The Thunder Hawks now have a record of 33-34.

With Ft. Polk South leading 6-3 in the bottom of the fourth, McElroy hit a fastball from Hsin-ta Lian for a 3-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Thunder Hawks ahead, 9-3.

McElroy told a Ft. Polk South Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
