Getting a good performance from designated hitter Luis Martínez, the Niagara Falls Expos defeated the Lake Erie Arryns, 4-2. Martínez was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Expos. José Salinas closed the door for Niagara Falls, picking up his 9th save of the year. Niagara Falls has now won 6 games in a row.

Martínez had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch sinker from Alberto Zarate, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the Expos a 4-2 lead. It was the 7th double of the year for Martínez.
