Atoms Top Pilgrims in Extras, 4-3
|
Bethesda catcher Mark Ream contributed to his team's 4-3 win over the Providence Pilgrims. Ream went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Atoms. The winner was Stu Washington in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Lodovico Tadini took the loss. With the win, Bethesda goes to 26-37, while the Pilgrims fall to 22-41.
Ream had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 0-2 fastball from Lodovico Tadini, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Atoms a 4-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Ream.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ream told the Bethesda Citizen.
