Torch Bump Off Yellows, 5-3
|
Mancelona Torch starter Uhi Ahipene was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Yucca Valley Yellows, 5-3. Mancelona, now 11-12, holds down 5th place in the Menard's A.
The Torch got a big at-bat from right fielder Tony Fulton. For the game, Fulton went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season gave Mancelona a 4-2 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Fulton said.
