Whales Suffer 5-3 Setback
Matt Fuller made an impact in the 5-3 Richland win over Virginia Beach. Fuller, who is tied for 3rd in the PAA in home runs with 13, went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2. Eduardo Pérez earned the save for Richland, his 6th. The Rails now have a record of 19-29.

Richland used a clutch hit from Andrew Rijerkerk to get the win. The third baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rails ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"Enjoyed this one," Rijerkerk told the Richland News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
