Pierogis Win at Bethesda, 5-2

The Squirrel Hill Pierogis topped the Bethesda Atoms, 5-2, in USPL Double A action at Atoms Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Squirrel Hill pitcher Bhunandana Lecamwasam. Lecamwasam got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. Lecamwasam allowed 2 runs. The Pierogis improve their record to 22-23 with the win over Bethesda.
With two out in the top of the eighth, Freddie Cupp had a game-changing hit. The Pierogis first baseman slammed a run-scoring single off Leonard Rogers, making the score 4-2, Squirrel Hill.
"We did a lot of things right," said Lecamwasam.
