Multi-HR Game for McLean in 8-3 Win
The Virginia Beach Whales defeated the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 8-3, at Virginia Beach Grounds. Virginia Beach right fielder George McLean had a superb performance. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. George Butler, the winner, improved to 4-1. He held the Screaming Eagles to 1 run on 3 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 3. The second-place Whales have won 6 straight games.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when McLean, who is tied for 2nd in the PAA in bases on balls with 29, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Whales into the lead, 3-1.
