Good Leads Pierogis to Win
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

Squirrel Hill designated hitter Stanley Good helped his team beat the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 13-5. Good, who is tied for 8th in the PAA with a .372 on-base percentage, went 2 for 3 for the Pierogis. The Pierogis now have a record of 17-21.

The Pierogis got an important contribution from shortstop Roy Howard, who in the top of the sixth punched a 1-1 changeup into left-center for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Pierogis ahead, 10-5.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Good.
