Ft. Polk South Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks trumped the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 10-8, at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. Ft. Polk South first baseman Tony Mendoza was terrific. He belted 3 home runs, while scoring 4 times and driving in 5. Ft. Polk South is now 17-20, Squirrel Hill 16-21.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Mendoza hit a curveball from Chris McGee for a 2-run home run. The Thunder Hawks, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Mendoza told the Ft. Polk South Today.
