The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis picked up a win at Mariachi Band Shell, knocking off the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 4-3. Starting pitcher Peter Bradley played a key role in the triumph. The Pierogis, at 10-17, have lost 4 in a row.

The Mariachis grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fifth. With one out, Ernesto Fernández hit a 3-run home run off In-chor Im, putting Nuevo Mexico in front, 3-2. For Fernández, it was his 4th home run of the season.

"I was a little disappointed," said Squirrel Hill manager Roy Clay. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
