Vodarsky Delivers Walk-Off Win for River Rats
|
Columbia picked up a win at Columbia Stadium, toppling the Niagara Falls Expos, 4-3. Pitcher Bruce Wilson was one of the reasons the River Rats triumphed. Columbia reliever Lu Tan picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Wu-shun Feng absorbed the loss. Losses have been rare for the Expos, who are now 9-4.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 15th, an error by the Expos allowed the River Rats to score the winning run.
"Games like this one keep the antacid makers in business," quipped Niagara Falls manager Bobby Davis.
