Late Magic Gets Mercer Island 7-3 Win
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles grabbed a win, 7-3, over the Richland Rails at Mercer Island Grounds. Mercer Island shortstop Dave Watson was 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win brings the Screaming Eagles to 10-8, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Watson delivered big-time for Mercer Island, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Frank Wilson. The game-changing hit put the Screaming Eagles on top, 4-3.
