The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles beat the Richland Rails, 10-7, at Mercer Island Grounds. The win was due in part to designated hitter Steve Lodge, who went 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The loss lowers the Richland record to 10-7.

With one out in the bottom of the seventh, Pablo Peñaranda had a game-changing hit. The Screaming Eagles third baseman slammed a run-scoring single off Héctor Salazar, making the score 5-4, Mercer Island.
