Whales Shut Out Mariachis, 7-0
The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis got a superb performance from pitcher Sekien Saromi. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Virginia Beach. The Whales won the game, 7-0. Saromi came in in relief and pitched to 20 batters. The win brings the Whales to 6-4, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

Ricardo Hernández helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Whales.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hernández told the Virginia Beach Gazette.
