Thunder Hawks Suffer 8-5 Setback
The home crowd had a good time watching the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks and Squirrel Hill Pierogis get after it.

The Squirrel Hill Pierogis topped the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks by a score of 8-5. Leading the way was shortstop Roy Howard. Howard was 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Pierogis. Jack Herer closed the door for Squirrel Hill, picking up his 2nd save of the year.

In the bottom of the first, Cristo López hit a 2-run home run. The 1st home run of the season for the Squirrel Hill third baseman put the Pierogis on top, 3-2.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Howard told the Squirrel Hill Gazette.

The win has Squirrel Hill at 2-2.
