Atoms Deal Pierogis 5-0 Loss
|
Pitcher Ron Lloyd was sensational for the Bethesda Atoms in his team's 5-0 triumph over the Squirrel Hill Pierogis. Lloyd picked up the win, and it was well-earned. The Atoms raised their record to 2-1.
The Atoms got a big at-bat from center fielder Christian Davis, who in the top of the third hit a run-scoring double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Atoms on top, 2-0.
"Glad to get this win," said Lloyd. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
