Olympia rode a decent outing from starter John Tripcony to victory over the Marquette Miners. The final score was 3-2. Olympia pitcher Dan Taylor got the win, upping his record to 2-2. Jong-beom Park got the loss. José Cruz got the save, his 3rd in 5 chances.
Olympia used the timely hitting of Emílio Jover to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Ogres on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Jover said his team "played with focus."
The Ogres sit in 5th place in the Silver AA with a record of 46-48.
