Despite a fine performance by catcher Mario Torres, the Toledo Saboteurs lost to the Olympia Ogres, 7-5. Torres was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2. Özkan Nedim got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. The save was credited to José Cruz, his 2nd.

Tied up with the Saboteurs in the top of the fifth inning, the Ogres got a boost from pinch hitter Ken'ichi Sato. With the bases loaded, Sato saw a 0-1 fastball from Armando Sosa and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Olympia on top, 7-5.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Sato told the Olympia Observer.

Olympia, at 41-42, holds down 5th place in the Silver AA.
