MacMurdo hits 2 home runs, Leads Guinea Pigs to Win
Gwinnett and Olympia duked it out and the Guinea Pigs came out victorious.

The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs beat the Olympia Ogres, 9-7, at The Ogre Den. Charles MacMurdo, in particular, was impressive. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Gwinnett reliever Rémy Moreau picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Özkan Nedim shouldered the loss.

It could have been a different outcome for Gwinnett, had it not been for Will Blalock, the 24-year old right fielder . Blalock contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the sixth inning to put Gwinnett up, 7-6.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," MacMurdo told the Gwinnett Today. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."

Gwinnett has an impressive 58-23 record.
