Minnesota and Toledo duked it out and the Loons came out victorious.

The Toledo Saboteurs got a superb performance from third baseman Rich Pope, but the Minnesota Loons still won the game, 7-5. Pope went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The 9th-place Saboteurs have dropped 4 straight games.

Minnesota used the clutch hitting of John Dorian to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Loons the lead, 6-5. For the game, Dorian had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Minnesota manager David Cross.
