A 4-RBI performance from Van Curtis, who is tied for 9th in the SAA in triples with 3, helped the Minnesota Loons beat the Tacoma Fur Traders, 6-5. Minnesota currently is in second place in the Silver AA at 50-27.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Claudio Guzmán came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Tacoma pitcher Joe Kelly, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Minnesota on top, 6-5.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Tacoma manager Ángel Rosa. "The effort was great."
