Late Magic Gets Gulf Coast 3-1 Win
The Gulf Coast Turbeaus took St. Petersburg pitcher Shigochiyo Tanaka's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Baby Thunder Dome. The final score had Gulf Coast getting past the Thunder, 3-1. Tanaka went 7 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 8. The Turbeaus raised their record to 18-45.

Gulf Coast took a 2-1 lead on Tadasu Sato's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run came off St. Petersburg pitcher Juan Parra in the top of the eighth.

"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Sato said (again).
