Ogres Win, 3-1, at Westwood
|
The Olympia Ogres picked up a win at Sixshooters Stadium, knocking off the Westwood Sixshooters, 3-1. Starting pitcher Shane Hudson played a key role in the triumph. In 6 innings, Hudson surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. The 6th-place Sixshooters have lost 6 straight games.
The Ogres got a big boost from right fielder Sang-chul Kwon who had a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning off Sixshooters hurler Juan Carmona. It was his 21st walk of the season and put Olympia on top, 1-0.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Westwood manager Tony Hernández. "Obviously."
