Fur Traders Best Saboteurs in Pitching Duel

Tacoma picked up a win at Toledo Backyard Park, bumping off the Toledo Saboteurs, 2-1. Pitcher Norberto Duarte was a major reason the Fur Traders emerged victorious. Duarte went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 5, and struck out 9. His record improves to 1-0. The triumph puts Tacoma at 27-21 for the season.
The Fur Traders got a big at-bat from second baseman Javier García. For the game, García was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Tacoma a 2-0 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said García. "And not try to do too much."
