Sixshooters Clip Miners, 5-4
|
The Westwood Sixshooters defeated the Marquette Miners, 5-4. Doing his part was shortstop Juan Rea, who went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The Sixshooters are now 19-20, while the Miners fall to 18-21.
The decisive at-bat for Westwood came with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With the bases empty, Rea hit a solo home run for the walk-off win.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Rea.
