Gwinnett took on Gulf Coast in front of a lively crowd.

The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs defeated the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 7-2, in USSL Double A action at Experimental Stadium. Gwinnett pitcher Ron Holland had a standout performance. The win elevated the Guinea Pigs to 17-7.

Gwinnett took a 4-2 lead on Charles MacMurdo's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Gulf Coast pitcher Bernard Miller in the bottom of the seventh.

"We did a lot of things right," said Holland.
