Loons Drop Saboteurs, 7-3
|
Minnesota Loons starter Yaichiro Shini was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Toledo Saboteurs, 7-3. At 14-9, the Loons claim second place in the Silver AA.
Minnesota used the timely hitting of Martin Mullinger to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Loons on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Minnesota manager David Cross.
