The St. Petersburg Thunder had to overcome a big game from Chesapeake first baseman Paul Green to leave Baby Thunder Dome with a victory. And they did, winning 8-4. Green went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Josse Gavicho, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. St. Petersburg is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 6th win in 19 games.

Paul Hall, who is tied for 5th in the SAA in hits with 23, helped out the St. Petersburg cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk.

"I felt good up there," said Hall. "I saw the ball well."
