The Minnesota Loons had to overcome a fine performance from Olympia pitcher Rubén Sánchez to grab a 3-1 win at Loony Bin. Sánchez allowed 1 run over 6 innings. Earning his 4th save of the year was Carl McCoy. The Ogres fall to 6-8 and continue their lackluster start to the 2046 season.

In the top of the ninth, Shi-ping Le stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Ogres were trailing 3-1, but had runners on 2nd and 3rd. That's when Carl McCoy made a terrific pitch and Le popped out. Gone was the dream of a Olympia comeback.
