Extra-Inning Win by Turbeaus Over Miners
|
The Turbeaus grabbed a win, 3-2, at Marquette Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Marquette pitcher Balltesar Patalim. Patalim went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. With the win, Gulf Coast lifts its record to 4-9.
The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Nathan Brannon came to bat in the top of the 13th. Facing Marquette pitcher Jong-beom Park, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Gulf Coast on top, 3-2.
"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Brannon told the Gulf Coast Today.
