The Minnesota Loons got a superb performance from pitcher Yaichiro Shini, but the Olympia Ogres still won the game, 4-3. Shini threw 7.0 innings of 0-hit ball. David Guzmán earned the save for Olympia, his 1st of the year. The win moves Olympia to a record of 6-7.
Olympia used a timely hit from José Morales to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Ogres ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"This was a good win," said Morales.
