The Barton Springs Blues got a superb performance from center fielder David Taylor. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Asheville. The Highlanders won the game, 5-4. Taylor went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Tom Young got the save, his 20th in 26 chances. The triumph puts Asheville at 53-45 for the season.

The Highlanders got a big at-bat from left fielder Héctor Ancelno. For the game, Ancelno was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Asheville a 3-1 lead.
