The Asheville Highlanders weathered a fine game by Lancaster right fielder Andy Gould to upend the Farmers, 5-4, at Farmers Field. Gould belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Asheville is 50-43 and Lancaster, with the loss, 49-44.

Asheville needed the clutch hitting of Héctor Ancelno to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Highlanders on top, 5-4. For the game, Ancelno had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Lancaster manager Dylan Smith.
