Love Boats Deal Polar Bears 3-1 Defeat
|
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats got a magnificent performance from pitcher Dave Peters, who muffled the Billings offense en route to a tight 3-1 Love Boats win at The Igloo. Hugh Mann earned the save for Lake Minnetonka, his 10th. The win makes Lake Minnetonka 50-40.
Lake Minnetonka used the timely hitting of Calum MacKinlay to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Love Boats on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," MacKinlay told the Lake Minnetonka Gazette.
