The Lancaster Farmers beat the Casper Ghosts, 3-2. Lancaster pitcher and Meridian, Idaho, native Jeffrey Pope led the way. Pope picked up the win for Lancaster, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-8. Jim Steel recorded the save, making him 17 for 21.

The Farmers got an important contribution from right fielder Andy Gould, who in the bottom of the third knocked a 0-1 slider into left for a 2-run double. It was his 20th double of the season and put the Farmers ahead, 3-0.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Gould.
