Late Magic Gets Akron 11-6 Win
Akron took on Billings in front of a lively crowd.

The Akron Blimps topped the Billings Polar Bears by a score of 11-6. Leading the way was designated hitter Ben Walters. Walters went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Blimps. The winner was Horatio Hornblower in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Johnny Peters took the loss.

Akron used the clutch hitting of Ed Reilly to snag the win. The center fielder drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blimps ahead, 11-6. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Walters told the Akron Daily News.

The Blimps are now 45-40, while the Polar Bears fall to 36-49.
