Blues Sneak Past Fighting Imps, 3-2

The Barton Springs Blues took Ithaca pitcher Hank Garrett's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Blues Field. The final score had Barton Springs getting past the Fighting Imps, 3-2. Garrett went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 8. Reliever Danny Kas picked up the win. His record improves to 5-3. Xin-fang Zha took the loss. The 10th-place Blues are now 36-48, the Fighting Imps 42-42.
In the bottom of the tenth, Alfonso Ramos had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring walk to center off Ithaca pitcher Xin-fang Zha.
"Winning never gets dull," said Ramos.
