|
The Asheville Highlanders downed the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 5-4, at Heron Field. The Highlanders were led by Reynaldo García. He was 4 for 5 with 3 doubles. Picking up the save was Tom Young, his 13th. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Asheville.
George McMahon, the 26-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. McMahon contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Asheville up, 4-3.
